Writing Your Life: A Generative Memoir Writing Workshop When you talk about your life, do people say you should write a book? Now's the time to start. No matter where you are in your memoir-writing journey, this hands-on writing workshop will help you start, develop, or revise a memoir-in-process. We'll work through a series of writing prompts, exploring ways to get unstuck, using specifics and sensory imagery, and scene building. In this class you'll be generating your own work, make sure to bring a paper and pen.

This exhibition invites the public to experience a showcase of monochromatic artistry. Returning for its twelfth year, “Black & White” spotlights compelling pieces created entirely in shades of black, white, and gray, offering viewers a heightened appreciation for contrast, texture, and form. During this two-part class we will dive into the process of creating natural watercolors from plant to palette! Pigment is all around us, and we will explore the process of "laking" for pigments made from organic matter, as well as creating earth pigments from inorganic materials. Expect this session to be packed with information, and any folks who have information and experience to add to the knowledge pool are welcome to do so. All supplies and materials will be provided.
