We want to alert you to phishing emails that may be circulating and appear to come from the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC). These phishing emails may falsely request personal information and/or gift cards. These types of scams are unfortunately common in nonprofit and arts communities. We’re actively monitoring and reporting them to protect our community.

Senior Artistic Outreach; Chalk Pastels - Hallberg Center for the Arts

Chalk Pastel Sea Turtles- Free Senior Art Class This fun and creative project is designed especially for seniors! In this month's class we will be using Chalk Pastel and charcoal to create a glowing underwater scene. This class is excellent for beginners, and we will have everything you need to make this fun project. This program is a fun way to make friends, and get creative in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Northern Exposures: Landscapes of the Midwest, A Solo Exhibit featuring the photography of Crystal Arellano in the Underground Gallery Sponsored by: Squeegee Squad There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, February 19th from 5pm-7:30pm. Light refreshments and beverages will be served, along with pie donated by the Village Inn, coffee donated by White Pine Coffee and craft beer from the Uncommon Loon Brewery. The opening night reception also includes musical accompaniment from songwriter Samantha Grimes! The show closes Saturday, March 14th at 4PM.

The 65th installment on the Freemore Music Stage, featuring the music of Kate Albright, Christopher M. Davies and Jaspar Lepak! Admission is Free. Seating is limited, so please arrive early! Kate Albright is a singer, musician, and songwriter. She has toured on the road and off for over 10 years in a variety of bands performing cover songs. She now spends her time creating and producing her own songs and performing them in songwriter showcases, music conferences, nightclubs, and other venues.

Analogical Ecology - art exhibit at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Analogical Ecology: A Solo Exhibit featuring the artwork of Laura Pereira in the Underground Gallery. Laura Pereira Laura Pereira is a contemporary mixed media artist and encaustic painter working in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a 2013 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a 2023 Emerging Artist grant from International Encaustic Artists, and a 2024 Next Step grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.

Steven Hudak: "Having been born and raised in rural Minnesota, with parents who loved the outdoors and camping, I naturally developed a passion for it as well . As a child every weekend was spent at a Minnesota State Park or Forest, and I will always cherish those memories. My artistic abilities are a gift that I realized I had at a very young age.
