Looking through the lens of a camera is my way of experiencing the natural world. When I am really in tune with my subject, I feel a spiritual connection and work to express that connection. I call my work, “Intimate Reflections” because I feel the closer we see something, the more we can experience it; and all of nature reflects back to us, providing a mirror for who we are. I work to express the calming, peaceful essence of what I see. I attempt to create images that are impressionistic and representational and engage the viewer on an emotional level. In the past 4 years I have become enamored with iphonography and the ability a photographer now has to create an image rather than just take it.
