Please join us for our April Gallery Opening featuring artist, Andrew Arellano. Andrew began drawing when he was just 8 years old and is a self-taught artist. This gallery will feature a few of his elaborate drawings, all completed in charcoal and pencil. Many of his pieces of art have been inspired by his wife, Amy.

"The Sketchbook of Andrew Arellano, Onto The Next Page" invites viewers to explore Andrew’s imaginative work. His detailed, life-like images explore the quieter moments of life, from examining the petals of a flower, to capturing the way the light catches a dog’s nose.

Through his work, Andrew is hoping to convey one thing: “There is no limit to the imagination!” Some of his charcoal pieces are done on large-scale canvas, where one can truly enter into his world. Andrew is inspired by the works of MC Escher, Georgia O’Keefe, and Salvador Dali.

“The Sketchbook of Andrew Arellano, Onto The Next Page” opens on Friday, April 3rd, where the public is invited to an artists’ reception from 4-7pm. Wine, beer and light appetizers will be served. The gallery will continue throughout the month of April. Regular gallery hours are 10am - 5pm, Thursday-Saturday and Sunday 11am - 5pm. The gallery is free and open to the public.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through an operating grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council, thanks to legislative appropriations from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. This event is sponsored by Voyageur Bottle Shop.
