PCftA Black and White Show

Back in Black & White Presented by Pine Center for the Arts

Pine Center for the Arts proudly presents "Back in Black and White," a striking new gallery event celebrating the timeless elegance of monochromatic art. Featuring over 60 pieces spanning a diverse array of mediums—from charcoal sketches to black and white photography, and intricate ink drawings—this exhibit showcases the talents of artists whose ages range from a youthful 3 to a wise 73 years.

This intergenerational blend not only highlights the universal appeal of black and white art but also bridges the gap from preschool creativity to retirement refinement. Each piece, unique in its execution but unified by its color scheme, invites viewers to explore the powerful dynamics of contrast, texture, and composition in a world devoid of color.

“Back in Black and White” opens on Friday, May 3. The public is invited to an artists’ reception from 4-7 pm on Friday, May 3. Wine, beer, and light appetizers will be served. The gallery will continue throughout May. Regular gallery hours are 10 am-5 pm, Thursday-Saturday and Sunday 11 am-5 pm. The gallery is free and open to the public.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through an operating grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council, thanks to legislative appropriations from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. This event is sponsored by Stearns Bank.

Located in Pine City, the Pine Center for the Arts has been serving the Pine City area since 2009.
