EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA PRIDE UNVEILS EXCITING LINEUP FOR 19th ANNUAL ‘PRIDE IN THE PARK’ PINE CITY, MINN. – On June 1, 2024, from noon to 5 p.m., East Central Minnesota Pride will host its 19th annual ‘Pride in the Park’ event at Robinson Park in downtown Pine City. This celebration of the LGBTQ community in East Central Minnesota will feature a diverse lineup of performers and promises an afternoon filled with music, arts and inclusivity. Performances on the Pride stage this year include Minorbirds, Saltydog, Rebel Queens and, back by popular demand, Martina Marraccino. Minorbirds, a northwoods duo with ties to Pine County, will enchant pride-goers with their rich harmonies and diverse musical influences, spanning folk, soul, roots, country, and Americana. Saltydog, a veteran Duluth band with a unique five-piece lineup, blends folk and funk traditions to create a groovy musical experience. Rebel Queens, the Minneapolis-based all-woman band, will channel the soul of Led Zeppelin, the rebel spirit of Joan Jet, and the energy of Hair Metal. Martino Mayote (Martina Marraccino), a versatile Minneapolis-based professional, brings a unique blend of singing, songwriting, and choreography to the Pride stage. The voters of Minnesota made this activity possible through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. All are welcome to join this free and inclusive celebration. For more information, visit www.EastCentralMinnesotaPride.org.
