Free art classes for Kids

Saturday, May 25, 2024 - 1 - 3 pm

Free art classes for Kids are on the last Saturday of every month at the Hallberg Center for the Arts!

Kids Can Be Artists Too, is an historic, popular summer painting event conducted by the volunteers of the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (WACAC) at many of the local summer festivals over the past decade. The volunteers set up tents, provide aprons, painting supplies and a canvas for kids to paint for free and take home.  Nearly 1000 kids and families create art at these festivals each summer for the past 8 years.  WACAC listened to community feedback and is proud to expand the program all year long!  The Kids Can Be Artist Too Series continues at the Hallberg Art Center the last Saturday of every month with free art classes.

On May 25th from 1-3pm, participants will be participating in Foam Printmaking.  Learn how to use foam, craft sticks, and ink to make your own prints!  Class begins with a brief, inspiring picture story and then is followed by an instructor-led  art project and oriented for elementary ages and younger.  (Parents need to stay with younger children, please!)  Sign up is required in advance for one of the four (4) - 30 minute time slots between 1pm-3pm  online at WyomingCreativeArts.org/class-schedule.
