Norwegian Rosemaling

Rosemaling is a traditional Norwegian folk art of decorative painting that originated in rural Norway in the 18th century. The style is characterized by ornate, flowing scrollwork and floral motifs, which are often stylized tulips, roses, and acanthus leaves.
