Songwriters in the Round #49 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

Every month, the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community brings in 3 songwriters to perform at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in an "In The Round" format, performing their original pieces of music. June's show brings Joe Cruz, Katy Vernon and Severio Mancieri to the Freemore Stage. Admission is Free and starts promptly at 7pm. Seating is limited, so please arrive early! Thank you! Joe Cruz is regarded as one of the most versatile and energetic multi-stringed instrumentalists on the national music scene today. Throughout his 40 year career, this passionate musician has developed a vast array of styles, playing anything from solo acoustic guitar to screaming electric, swinging with a jazz combo, picking mandolin in a bluegrass band or exploring his Latin roots on Cuban trés and Puerto Rican cuatro. Cruz is also a composer and his solo guitar record, Pasión, can be found on iTunes. Having played in numerous productions at the Children's Theatre Company, The Guthrie, Park Square Theatre, and The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Joe is delighted to return to collaborating with Jennifer Grimm once again. Katy Vernon is a London born singer songwriter who is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her resume highlights include being named the Winner of Best Acoustic Performer of 2020 By City Pages, the Eric Stokes songwriting award, and Kerrville Folk Best new song finalist award. Her most recent record ‘Suit Of Hearts’ was named album of the year by Ukulele magazine as well as landing on several local best of lists. She was also a finalist in Ukulele magazine for Best International Ukulele player! in addition to her music career she also sits on the board of the mental wellness organization Dissonance, curates several local concert series, and sings the role of Agnetha in an all star ABBA tribute band called Abbasolutely Fab! Severio Mancieri is a touring troubador based in Duluth, MN. 175+ shows a year, festival appearances across the Midwest, opening up for national acts, a PBS Special, he's released two records in the past 4 years and has been hailed as a guitar virtuoso with a resonant voice.
