Songwriters in the Round #63 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

Join us for our 63rd Songwriters in the round, featuring two duos: Curtis & Loretta & the Roe Family Singers! Admission is Free. Seating is limited, so please arrive early. Minneapolis based "Curtis & Loretta” are a folk singer-songwriter duo, guided by their love of good songs and inspired by the stories of people they have met in their over 40 years of touring. Weaving together soaring harmonies with a wild menagerie of instruments that includes guitars, harp, mandocello, banjo, ukulele, kazoo, harmonica, and percussion, the duo perform traditionally-inspired originals with humor and heart. Curtis’ down-home sense of humor and Loretta’s theater background engage the audience in an experience that runs the gamut of rolling with laughter to holding back tears, with plenty of side-trips in between. https://curtisandloretta.com Bonfire Music Group recording artists the Roe Family Singers are a Good-Time, Old-Time Hillbilly band from the tiny community of Kirkwood Hollow, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim Roe (Best Female Vocalist, City Pages/Village Voice) and Quillan Roe; the band marries old-time sounds from barn-dances, fiddle pulls, and county fairs with the rock & roll passion of youth.
