Survivors of the Fire: Stories and Songs Remembering the Great Hinckley Fire of 1894

The tradition continues! The new Hinckley Fire musical that premiered to standing-room-only crowds in 2024, returns to the Hinckley Fire Museum to commemorate the 132nd Anniversary of the Fire! Featuring music of the era, harrowing first-hand accounts of the survivors, and poignant tributes to those who perished. This year there will be new stories and songs to enjoy, along with some beloved favorites. Written by playwright and Hinckley native, Jeremiah Gamble, directed by Jeff Miller, and featuring a talented cast of Twin Cities musicians and actors. Labor Day Weekend Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th at 10:30am, Noon, and 2:30pm Free Admission! (for the Museum and the performance) Runtime: approximately 50 minutes This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. To secure a seat, you can show up at the Museum on the day of the performance you want to attend, (the Museum opens at 10am) and request and receive (up to six) tickets for one performance that same day. Tickets for Sunday’s shows will only be available on Sunday.
