Telling Wild Tales: Nature Writing Workshop Do you enjoy wildlife and nature? Would you like to try your hand at writing poetry or stories inspired by the natural world? Join poet and essayist Laurie Allmann for this free workshop with engaging discussion and writing activities inspired by the natural world. Beginners and experienced writers are welcome. Weather permitting, we'll spend part of our time outdoors at the library along the shores of Lake Mora.Laurie Allmann's published books include Far From Tame: Reflections from the Heart of a Continent, winner of a Minnesota Book Award, and a recent book of poetry, An Hour from Now, which received a gold medal from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association. She is currently serving as artist-in-residence with North Woods & Waters of the St. Croix. This program is provided by the North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area (NWW), in partnership with ECRL and supported with a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council.
