The 65th installment on the Freemore Music Stage, featuring the music of Kate Albright, Christopher M. Davies and Jaspar Lepak! Admission is Free. Seating is limited, so please arrive early! Kate Albright is a singer, musician, and songwriter. She has toured on the road and off for over 10 years in a variety of bands performing cover songs. She now spends her time creating and producing her own songs and performing them in songwriter showcases, music conferences, nightclubs, and other venues. https://www.katealbright.com Chris Davies is known as a first class storyteller and songwriter who hails from St. Paul Minnesota. He is also the front man for the Twin Cities based band Chris Davies & The Afterparty. They are known for their splendid mix of americana and pop and have been enjoyed by audiences from The Parkway Theater to the Surf Ballroom. This will be Chris' second time playing at the Hallberg Center for the Arts, Songwriters in the Round, the first being all the way back in 2018. Chris' performances are known to be highly entertaining and rich in original material. https://chrisdaviesmusic.com Jaspar Lepak writes feminist folk songs from the heart—poetic, profound and “always evocative”. Drawing comparisons to Kate Wolf and Nanci Griffith, her pure voice rings out above the pack, creating classic-sounding folk songs inspired by the many places she has called home (Tucson, Durban, Seattle, and currently Minneapolis). Her 2024 release So Strong landed at #6 on Folk Radio Chart, and her 2021 release Desert Ghosts also charted in the Top 10 on folk radio. https://jasparlepak.com/ Thank you to the Hallberg Family Foundation for sponsoring this event and support from the Music Connection in Forest Lake, MN. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council with funds appropriated by the MN State Legislature from its general fund.
