Chisago Ukelele Bank Matinee Concert
Chisago Lakes Ukelele Band (CLUB) On the Freemore Stage at the Hallberg Center for the Arts
Come in and enjoy the fun and light sound of this local ukulele troupe from 1-3pm. This is also the last chance to participate in the voting for the People's Choice Award for the photographic exhibit "That's What Eye Saw!".
Under the direction of Peter Gibson, the CLUB evolved from a Chisago Lakes Community Education music class of 25 members that didn't want their ukulele experience to end and created the band. The Uncommon Loon Brewery in Chisago graciously provides a weekly practice room and they perform at various venues such as parades, community events, senior facilities, farmers markets and now art galleries. Fun Facts: Membership has grown to 35 enthusiasts. There are seven different types of ukuleles: soprano, concert, tenor, baritone, bass, banjolele and guitalele. New members are welcome to join CLUB and the Chisago Lakes Community Education will be holding beginner classes in Spring of 2024. The spelling of their name "ukelele" is by design and not a typo.
