Unexpected Company Chorale (UCC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Send-Off Concerts, titled From Minnesota, With Love, to be held on Friday, May 2 at 7:30 PM at the Chisago Lakes High School Performing Arts Center in Lindstrom, and again on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 PM at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. These special performances mark the final stateside appearances before the chorale departs for its concert tour of southern Sweden, May 8–20, and serve as the grand finale of UCC’s 40th Anniversary season. Non-profit organizations that interpret Scandinavian immigration will have exhibits both before and after the concert. Under the direction of Ken Cheney, Unexpected Company Chorale has grown to 70 members and draws singers from within a 50-mile radius of the Chisago Lakes Area. Known for its exceptional performances and wide-ranging repertoire, UCC has brought joy to audiences for four decades and is proud to continue its tradition of musical outreach—both at home and abroad.
