Invitation to apply for MSAB Creative Support Grant for Individuals

Artists, we would like you to know about the new Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) Creative Support Grant for Individuals. This is a new program for individuals to provide a wide range of financial support during the next 12 months. The program is open to both for the traditional artistic disciplines and the cultural heritage arts (cultural bearers) in the State of Minnesota.

A note on ECRAC grant funding for the next year...

Please be aware that the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) is still uncertain about how much State funding will be available to us for the new fiscal year that started July 1, 2020. We have been told that it will be at least 15% less and maybe as much as 40% less. It all depends on the State budget. Rest assured that we will make every effort to maintain our grant funding at last year’s levels. As usual, the grant deadlines will be October 1st because, well, we need the arts now more than ever.

IMAGE 2020 Online Now!

We turn to the arts to get through difficult times, so it’s been hard to grapple with social distancing, cancelled events, and the closure of venues during the COVID-19 outbreak. However, artists are nothing if not adaptable, especially when facing challenges. Therefore the East Central Arts Council’s IMAGE Art Show is an online event this year and it opened today!  People's Choice votes will be accepted through June 30.  Award winning pieces, except for People's Choice and Best in Show will be announced here on June 15, 2020.
