Survivors of the Fire: Stories and Songs Remembering the Great Hinckley Fire of 1894

The tradition continues! The new Hinckley Fire musical that premiered to standing-room-only crowds in 2024, returns to the Hinckley Fire Museum to commemorate the 132nd Anniversary of the Fire! Featuring music of the era, harrowing first-hand accounts of the survivors, and poignant tributes to those who perished. This year there will be new stories and songs to enjoy, along with some beloved favorites. Written by playwright and Hinckley native, Jeremiah Gamble, directed by Jeff Miller, and featuring a talented cast of Twin Cities musicians and actors.

North Branch Mural Celebration

Come celebrate North Branch’s newest downtown mural! Created by artist Taylor Shaw with the help of local community members, this vibrant work of art is a reflection of the creativity and spirit of our community. Join the Chisago Count HRA-EDA and Minnesota Home Guys for light refreshments and a brief presentation as we recognize everyone who helped bring this project to life. Afterward, feel free to stay, admire the mural, connect with friends and neighbors, and enjoy the celebration at your own pace. We look forward to seeing you there!

Senior Artistic Outreach; Mountains Acrylic Painting - Hallberg Center for the Arts

Mountains at Dusk, Acrylic Painting- Free Senior Art Class This fun and creative project is designed especially for seniors! In this month's class we will be painting an acrylic painting with a colorful sunset, and atmospheric mountains. This class is excellent for beginners, and we will have everything you need to make this fun project. This class is a fun way to make friends, and get creative in a relaxed, supportive environment. This FREE class enables us to bring art classes to artists who are seniors, encouraging creativity, vitality, and community.

Bring the whole crew to our Family Open Studio, happening every Friday this summer starting July 10th! We'll have tables full of supplies, project ideas galore, and plenty of space to let your imaginations run wild. Whether you're into colorful chaos or quiet crafting, there's something here for every kind of maker. Great for all ages Grown-ups must stay and play Drop in or preregister — whatever works for you!

Kids Are Artists, Too! Free class at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Come to the Hallberg Center for the Arts to experience a free art class the last Saturday of this month! The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, from Keep it Up Tutoring, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle. This month we will be reading Ablaze with Color, A Story of Painter Alma Thomas, written by Jeanne Walker Harvey. We will be making out own color field paintings!

Songwriters in the Round #70 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

The Hallberg Center for the Arts Proudly Presents: SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND #70, Featuring the music of PK Mayo, Dan Israel & Joe Cruz on our outdoor Sunset Schooner Stage (weather permitting!) Lawn chair suggested, but not mandatory - there will be plenty of seating. Admission is Free. Arrive early and select your People's Choice favorites at the In. Art Show inside the gallery. Hallberg Center for the Arts presents our 11th Annual In. Art Show!

You are invited to our 11th Annual In. Art Show, presented by the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community to be held at the Hallberg Center for the Arts! Sponsored by the David & Lori Purdy Foundation, White Bear Glass and Olson's Excavation. There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, July 16 from 5pm-7:30pm. People's Choice voting will begin at this time. Light refreshments and beverages will be served, along with pie donated by the Village Inn, coffee donated by White Pine Coffee and craft beer from the Uncommon Loon Brewery.
