Analogical Ecology: A Solo Exhibit featuring the artwork of Laura Pereira in the Underground Gallery. Laura Pereira Laura Pereira is a contemporary mixed media artist and encaustic painter working in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a 2013 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a 2023 Emerging Artist grant from International Encaustic Artists, and a 2024 Next Step grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.

Steven Hudak: "Having been born and raised in rural Minnesota, with parents who loved the outdoors and camping, I naturally developed a passion for it as well . As a child every weekend was spent at a Minnesota State Park or Forest, and I will always cherish those memories. My artistic abilities are a gift that I realized I had at a very young age.

Songwriters in the Round #64 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

The Hallberg Center for the Arts Proudly Presents: THE SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND SERIES THURSDAY, JANUARY 29TH AT 7PM Admission is Free. Seating is limited, so please arrive early! The 64th installment on the Freemore Music Stage Featuring the music of Ryan Zwangziger, Roger Lee and Dave Dvorak! Ryan Zwanziger is a finger style acoustic guitarist/singer songwriter whose vast original catalog is as unpredictable as his playing style. Currently playing with the group Rush River Delta out of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin.

Kids Are Artists, Too! Free class at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Join us at the Hallberg Center for the Arts for a free art experience! This inclusive class is designed for all ages and skill levels. The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, from Keep it Up Tutoring, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle. (Parents are required to stay with younger children.) This month we will be reading Radiant Child: The Story of Young Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, by Javaka Steptoe. For our project we will be creating mixed media drawings!

Senior Artistic Outreach - Hallberg Center for the Arts

This fun and creative project is designed especially for seniors! In this month's class we will be using Alcohol ink and stickers to create these beautiful abstract tiles! This class is excellent for beginners, and we will have everything you need to make this fun project. This class is a fun way to make friends, and get creative in a relaxed, supportive environment. This FREE class was made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
