Kids Are Artists Too: free painting @ Wyoming's Night to Unite!

Please join the crew from the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community for this family-friendly, free event at Goodview Park in Wyoming, MN! Once again, we will have our painting tables and easels up so kids can paint for FREE from 6-8PM. And we are always looking for volunteers to help us at this fun event. Meet community members, police officers, and firefighters from the City of Wyoming.

Kids Are Artists, Too: story & cyanotype art- FREE @ the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Come to the Hallberg Center for the Arts to enjoy a free art experience the 4th Saturday of this month! This inclusive art class is for all ages and abilities. Class begins with a brief, inspiring picture story, and then is followed by an art project. This Month we will be reading The Shape of the World: A Portrait of Frank Lloyd Wright, by K.L. Going, and experimenting with a type of camera-less photography called Cyanotype, which is the same way they make blueprints for houses! We will use all kinds of unexpected materials to create our masterpieces!

Songwriters in the Round #59 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

The Hallberg Center for the Arts Proudly Presents: The 59th installment of Songwriters in the Round on our OUTDOOR MUSIC STAGE (weather permitting) - the Sunset Schooner! This evening features the spectacular music of Elizabeth Ghandour, Tony Baker, and Bob Frey. Admission is Free. If indoors, seating is limited, so please arrive early. Otherwise, feel free to bring a comfortable camping chair!

Hallberg Center for the Arts Introduces the 10th Annual In. Art Exhibit!

The Hallberg Center for the Arts proudly announces the 10th Annual In. Art Show & Competition, a premier juried exhibition celebrating artistic excellence across diverse mediums with an Opening Reception on Thursday, July 17 from 5pm-7:30pm. Hosted at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in Wyoming, Minnesota, this milestone event offers artists a platform to showcase their work and compete for a share of $5,000 in awards. There are 67 finalists on display in the art center’s Freemore Gallery.

Three Friends Creations Gallery Reception

Pine Center for the Arts will host "Three Friends Creation" opening on Friday, August 1, with a public artists’ reception from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Light appetizers and beverages will be served. The gallery exhibition will continue throughout the month of August. Regular gallery hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free, and the gallery is open to the public.

Learn the Art of Bargello

Learn the art of Bargello in this fun interactive class, taught by Jennifer Peters. You will learn the technique and make a set of four coasters. We will serve light snacks and refreshments. All supplies are included. No students under 12 years. Adults are encouraged to attend!

 

Christmas in July Class 2

Are you in love with Christmas and all things primitive? Then these are the classes for you. Join Sarah Althoff to make a primitive tree on wood slats, with a finished size of 10″ x 20″. It is finished off with a tin trunk and a rusty star. This piece can either be hung, or leaned against something.

Little Shop of Horrors

The Heritage Players Community Theater will present the summer musical, “Little Shop of Horrors” on July 17th - 20th at the Pine City High School Auditorium. Thursday, Friday & Saturday shows are at 7:00 PM and the Sunday show is at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Adults are $18 Seniors (62+) are $12 Students (K-12) are $12 Advance sales are available at the Pine City Chamber Office, 247 5th St SE or through the website at www.pinecityheritageplayers.com
