"Going With the Flow" art exhibit at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

In the Underground Gallery, "Going with the Flow," celebrates the dynamic interplay of water and nature in art. Featuring art from Keith Stangeland and Nancy Crombie.  Keith's primary medium is fluid art and alcohol ink pieces but he also works with brushes, ink and pencils to create illustrations and cartoons. Nancy is a mixed media artist and photographer who works with handmade paper to make wall art, woven string and paper art, baskets, sculptural pieces, handmade books and note cards. There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, November 20th from 5pm-7:30pm.

"That's What Eye Saw" at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

That’s What Eye Saw returns for its 11th year, and showcases a diverse collection of photographic work from local artists, capturing the essence of their unique perspectives and experiences in the Freemore Gallery. There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, November 20th from 5pm-7:30pm. Light refreshments and beverages will be served, along with coffee donated by White Pine Coffee and craft beer from the Uncommon Loon Brewery. The opening night reception also includes musical accompaniment from Andy LaCasse! The show closes Saturday, January 17 at 4PM.

St. Lucia Celebration

The St. Lucia Celebration is an annual event in Mora, MN around the time of the year when there are the shortest daylight days. Part of the program involves crowning the 2025 St. Lucia, the Queen of Lights, followed by a musical program. This year the Scandinavian inspired group, Ponyfolk, will perform a blend of folk tunes and songs combining Nordic traditions and Americana folk music. Following the performance a Fika (Coffee & Treats) will take place.

Kids Are Artists, Too! Free class at the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Kids Are Artists, Too! - FREE 4th Saturday Art Class! This inclusive art class is for all ages and abilities. Class begins with a brief, inspiring picture story, and then is followed by an art project. This Month we will be reading Pocket Full of Colors: The Magical World of Mary Blair, Disney Artist Extraordinaire, and making out own colorful Disney Castles in paper collage! (Parents are requested to stay with young children.) Sign up for a 40-minute time slot online.

Songwriters in the Round #63 at Hallberg Center for the Arts

Join us for our 63rd Songwriters in the round, featuring two duos: Curtis & Loretta & the Roe Family Singers! Admission is Free. Seating is limited, so please arrive early. Minneapolis based "Curtis & Loretta” are a folk singer-songwriter duo, guided by their love of good songs and inspired by the stories of people they have met in their over 40 years of touring.
