Survivors of the Fire: Stories and Songs Remembering the Great Hinckley Fire of 1894 is an “Incredibly moving,” (Lettered in Theatre) “Epic,” (Cherry and Spoon), hopeful, and at times surprisingly joyful new musical commemorating the 131st Anniversary of the Fire: featuring traditional music of the era, harrowing first-hand accounts of the survivors, and moving tributes to those who perished. It’s a celebration of life— its joys and sorrows— and a heartening reminder that those we hold dear are never lost.

Once again, we will have our painting tables and easels up so kids can paint for FREE from 6-8PM. And we are always looking for volunteers to help us at this fun event. Meet community members, police officers, and firefighters from the City of Wyoming.

Come to the Hallberg Center for the Arts to enjoy a free art experience the 4th Saturday of this month! This inclusive art class is for all ages and abilities. Class begins with a brief, inspiring picture story, and then is followed by an art project. This Month we will be reading The Shape of the World: A Portrait of Frank Lloyd Wright, by K.L. Going, and experimenting with a type of camera-less photography called Cyanotype, which is the same way they make blueprints for houses! We will use all kinds of unexpected materials to create our masterpieces!

This evening features the spectacular music of Elizabeth Ghandour, Tony Baker, and Bob Frey. Admission is Free. If indoors, seating is limited, so please arrive early. Otherwise, feel free to bring a comfortable camping chair!
