This Month we will be reading Monets Cat, and will be making a painting using every day materials to create our own impressionist water lily painting! This inclusive class is designed for all ages and skill levels. The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle.

A night of great entertainment at the Hallberg Center for the Arts - Music, Poetry, Storytelling & Comedy. Come early and see the Ranger Art Review exhibit, with art by art students from the Forest Lake Middle and High schools. All free admission! Join poet and essayist Laurie Allmann to create stories and poems designed for spoken word performance. In the first part of the workshop, Laurie will give you writing prompts to help you create your composition, then we’ll have an informal “open mic” featuring your own writings and selected readings of works by other regional writers.
