2024 IMAGE Art Show

This is the 37th year of IMAGE, an annual judged art show, sponsored by the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC). We have 139 artists from artists of Region 7E (the Minnesota Counties of Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine)!

The Kanabec County Art Association cordially invites you to enjoy a delightful holiday shopping experience at this year's KCAA Gift Shop on Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mora Public Library, lakeside entrance.  You will find original art by local artists, which includes fine art, prints, photography, cards, jewelry, gift items and more!

Join us for the Winter Songbird painting class, where you'll bring to life an enchanting winter scene featuring two adorable chickadees nestled amidst vibrant red berries and gently falling snowflakes. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, our instructor, Surelle Strike, will guide you every step of the way. All materials are provided, so just come ready to express yourself and create a masterpiece you’ll cherish forever!

Create this Swedish folk-art design on a cutting board. Learn some of the basic brushwork used in Swedish folk panting, and come ready to create a beautiful AND functional project. One side is painted for display, and the other side is a working cutting board. Perfect to keep for yourself, or as a gift! Instructor will provide all of the supplies you need - come ready to learn a new skill!

Join us at the Hallberg Center for the Arts for a free art experience on the last Saturday of every month in 2024! This inclusive class is designed for all ages and skill levels. The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle. (Parents are required to stay with younger children.) Get ready to create a fall tree scene with a surprising set of materials! To make our masterpiece, we will use brushes, paint, and... Broccoli?? We can’t wait to see you there!

Artist's Corner Art for All Ages and Abilities! The Hallberg Center for the Arts would like to cordially invite you to come create. The third Wednesday of every month from 3:30-7:30 PM we will have open studio time for all artists; Stay for the whole session or drop in when you can and stay as long as you want. So come paint, draw, scrapbook, or just sit around, surrounded by other artists. Register today! The third Wednesday of every month from 3:30-7:30 PM No admission, just bring your own supplies, or pay $10 to get a canvas, paint and use of our brushes.
