Unexpected Company Chorale Presents “From Minnesota, With Love”

Unexpected Company Chorale (UCC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Send-Off Concerts, titled From Minnesota, With Love, to be held on Friday, May 2 at 7:30 PM at the Chisago Lakes High School Performing Arts Center in Lindstrom, and again on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 PM at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. These special performances mark the final stateside appearances before the chorale departs for its concert tour of southern Sweden, May 8–20, and serve as the grand finale of UCC’s 40th Anniversary season.

Free Art Classes- For Seniors with Memory Loss

Join us for a special art class for seniors experiencing memory loss and their caregivers. In this FREE class, offered by the Hallberg Center for the Arts in partnership with the Chisago County Senior Center, participants will create art side by side. Thanks to a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, both will have the opportunity to make their own artwork, build creativity, and strengthen their bond while creating lasting memories. Join us in April for a creative workshop where we'll craft handmade stamps and spring-themed greeting cards!

Senior Artistic Outreach, Free Art Class for Seniors @ the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Lilac Acrylic Painting - Free Senior Art Class This fun and creative project is designed especially for seniors! In this month's class we will be painting a Springtime scene, filled with bright lilacs, with acrylic paint. This is a great painting for beginners, and we will have everything you need to make this beautiful artwork! This class is a fun way to make friends, and get creative in a relaxed, supportive environment. This FREE class was made possible by a grant through the East Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board.

Join us on May 1, 2025 for an evening of celebration and fundraising as we mark 10 years of creativity and impact for the Hallberg Center for the Arts. The Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community has proudly offered art and art opportunities to the community for ten years at the Hallberg Center for the Arts; a historic church building repurposed as a fine art gallery. We provide a welcoming space to meet, learn, enjoy entertainment, view art and just belong!

Hallberg Center for the Arts Introduces -Fragments and Wholeness: The Stories We Carry Sonja Hutchinson in the Underground Gallery

Sonja Hutchinson is a watercolor artist and teacher in Minneapolis MN. Her most recent works express moments of kindness, joy, personal growth and empowerment. They are unbound from a single person, gender or race. They reinforce connections we share and depend upon for our own well-being. Come see an amazing show! Opening night will be held on April 17th from 5-7:30PM. There will be live music, light snacks & beverages, including coffee donated from White Pines Coffee and craft beer from the Uncommon Loon Brewery. The show runs through May 17th.

Philip Noyed’s art represents the quintessential contemporary art movement making use of creative technology that is changing the way art is viewed today. This show features Geometric Illuminations, a Rainbow Pyramid, kinetic mobiles, videos, 3D oil paintings, AR paintings, Light Language generator, and Neo Art Space VR! Come see an amazing show! Opening night will be held on April 17th from 5-7:30PM. Kids Are Artists Too: "Through Georgia's Eyes" & Watercolor Seashell painting- FREE @ the Hallberg Center for the Arts

Join us at the Hallberg Center for the Arts for a free art experience on the fourth Saturday of every month in 2025! This inclusive class is designed for all ages and skill levels. The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle. (Parents are required to stay with younger children.) This Month we will be reading "Through Georgia's Eyes", and will be making a watercolor seashell painting inspired by the artwork of Georgia O'Keeffe!
