Frosty Art Fun: Learn to Paint a Whimsical Snowman with Watercolorist, Lisa Olson Get ready to embrace the holiday spirit with our whimsical snowman watercolor workshop! In this enchanting workshop, you’ll learn how to paint a jolly snowman in a playful, watercolor style. You’ll create three charming pieces: a 5×7 painting, a 4×6 postcard, and a delightful bookmark. As summer turns to fall and thoughts of the holiday season, interested intermediate age children are invited to participate in a four session program at Pine Center for the Arts that will focus on toys, games, dolls and books of past eras plus historical context in which they were popular. Participants will also work on related art projects and hear examples of children’s literature from past eras. Students who attend all four sessions will go on a field trip to the Alexander Ramsey House in St. Paul.

Artist Alysse Lensing will demonstrate, explain, and guide you through the methods used in impressionist oil painting, so that you can create your own masterpiece! **Oil painting involves the use of paint thinner, which can be overwhelming to those sensitive to smell. Masks are recommended for all, only required for those under the age of 12.

Immerse yourself in the fantastic world of oil painting! In this two-hour workshop, artist Alysse Lensing will demonstrate, explain, and guide you through the methods and practices used in oil painting. Attention art lovers and enthusiasts! Mark you calendars for an extraordinary art exhibition at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in Wyoming, MN. This unique two-person exhibition features twenty-five new artworks of Maryann Cleary with a series focusing on the Minnesota Praises. She will be exhibiting with Kristina Nicole Fjellman who will be exhibiting wall fiber sculptures. The reception will be October 24th from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Maryann Cleary is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.

This event is free but please register. Adnan will supply instruction and materials to build your skills in painting water colors. Each class can be taken on its own, working with your skill level. Class is held in the lower level of the 210, down the stairs and to the left.
